You won’t find too many original images here, but what you will find is Minecraft world which looks surprisingly more detailed than normal, despite the fact it’s using those traditional textures. The really cool thing about it is the fact is uses standard Minecraft textures. The Spectral PVP pack is nearly a finished piece of work, but there are still regular updates coming with the most recent one being about two days before the time this review was written, in late July of 2015. The extra level of detail really does a good job here and it’s surprising how much of a difference even that small resolution boost can make. With a resolution of 32x which is slightly boosted from the standard 16x, many of the updated textures have a little more pop than they normally would. It’s the first thing you see from Spectral PVP and it does a good job of setting the stage for everything else the pack will bring to the table. You’ll notice the differences in the Spectral PVP resource pack as soon as you boot up Minecraft and the traditional, peaceful start menu is instead a raging, fiery blaze.
